Securities and Stock Donations

The LAM Treatment Alliance welcomes contributions of appreciated securities, such as stocks, bonds and mutual fund shares. To learn more, send an email to donations@LAMTreatmentAlliance.org.

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor a matching gift program that can effectively double or even triple an employee's contribution of cash or securities. Ask your human resources office whether your employer has such a program. If so, please send a matching gift form to the LAM Treatment Alliance at the above address. In additions, corporations, partnerships and other entities that make gifts to the LAM Treatment Alliance may take a deduction for their contribution. If you own a closely held business, you may benefit by having the business make gifts directly to the LAM Treatment Alliance rather than making them personally. Bequests

If you plan to make a charitable gift by will, you will need to meet with your attorney to discuss and update your will. Please be as clear as possible in describing what you want given to whom. We hope you will tell us when you have named the LAM Treatment Alliance in your will. We would very much like the opportunity to thank you for your generosity. If you prefer to remain anonymous, your gift will be kept completely confidential. Recognition of your gift can encourage others to give. Whatever the case, we will honor your wishes. You can provide for future support of the LAM Treatment Alliance by including a charitable bequest in your will or revocable trust. This option may be attractive to those who wish to make a private contribution to our continued viability and strength, with the flexibility of a gift that won’t affect your current assets or cash flow. Tributes

You can honor a family member or friend, mark a special occasion, remember a loved one or thank a dedicated caregiver with a tribute gift to the LAM Treatment Alliance. If you wish, we will convey your warm wishes by mail to the person(s) you choose. Your gift will be used to meet our most pressing needs, or you may direct your support to the program of your choice. Partnership Opportunities

The LAM Treatment Alliance welcomes the opportunity to work with organizations and businesses that want to join the fight to find an effective treatment for LAM and linked diseases (e.g., breast cancer, ovarian cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, melanoma, diabetes). Partnering with LTA is an ideal way for a business or organization to show its support for women and their families battling LAM and other more common deadly cancers and to gain exposure for their philanthropic commitment. Travel Miles For Treatment

Donating your frequent flyer miles to the LAM Treatment Alliance enables us to spend our precious funds on research instead of flying scientists from throughout the country and around the world to our meetings. To donate your frequent flyer miles on any carrier to the LAM Treatment Alliance, please contact us at donations@LAMTreatmentAlliance.org.

Events

Throughout the year, supporters of the LAM Treatment Alliance come together for a common purpose: to support the work of the LAM Treatment Alliance and raise funds for research into an effective treatment for LAM and linked common cancers. Events include sports events and tournaments, banquets, concerts, restaurant-hosted parties, shopping-for-a-cure events in honor of Women's Day or Mother's Day, and walks/runs. These events raise thousands of dollars for LAM treatment research. These important activities expand awareness and support for the fight to find a treatment for LAM, for women's cancers, for other linked common serious diseases. If you are interested in creating a fundraising or awareness-raising event to support the LAM Treatment Alliance’s approach to fast-tracking LAM research, please email donations@LAMTreatmentAlliance.org.

Wedding Favors

In lieu of traditional favors, thank your friends and family for sharing your wedding day with a gift that makes a lasting difference. You can give unique and meaningful wedding favors that honor your guests or memorialize a loved one by making a donation to the LAM Treatment Alliance. We offer customized place/table cards that communicate your spirit of commitment and your generous donation. Your gift will honor the lives of women and families directly touched by LAM and those affected by linked diseases who will benefit from LAM research. Your generosity will add richness to the meaning of your special celebration. To order your LAM Treatment Alliance favor cards, email donations@LAMTreatmentAlliance.org and include "wedding favors" in the subject line. You may choose to donate one total sum or a certain amount per guest. When ordering, please indicate the number of cards that you will need (per table or per guest), card stock and type face preference, the text that you would like to appear on the card (or a request that we suggest text) and if you will need donation envelopes. You will also need to provide us with your full name, the ceremony date, a check or your credit card information including expiration date, your full name, mailing address and security code along with a shipping address, phone contact and email address. Once your gift is processed, cards will be printed and mailed to you. Please allow at least a month for card production and delivery.

Wedding Registry

You can also support the LAM Treatment Alliance by creating your own online charity registry. In addition to a traditional gift registry, guests can make donations in your name as their wedding gift to you. From honeymoons to invitations to wedding gifts, the I Do Foundation enables couples and their guests to make wedding-related purchases that generate charitable donations.
